Satpal Roth – Principal Solicitor
Satpal Roth was admitted to the role of Solicitors in May 2003. She spent 5 years as a Senior Crown Prosecutor and Higher Court Advocate dealing with serious crime in Greater Manchester and heading the Domestic Violence Department.She then moved into the world of Regulatory Law in early 2008. She has appeared in all types of regulatory matters such as prosecuting for the Environmental Agency defending serious breaches of health and safety for companies where a fatality has occurred. She has also advised corporate clients on health and safety matters, environmental pollution, food safety issues, trading standards and licensing. Satpal was appointed by the Attorney General to the List of Approved Prosecution Counsel in 2009 (LIST C) now known as the Advocates Panel. She is a member of The Health and Safety Lawyers Association and the Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates. Satpal is a keen fund raiser, having ran London marathon a few times and many half marathons.
Navjit Singh Degun – Solicitor
Navjit is a solicitor at Kher Solicitors who is based at the Leeds office. Navjit studied LL.B law at De Montfort University where he obtained a First Class Honours Degree. He completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law in York. Navjit specialises in Commercial Property, Commercial Law and Commercial Dispute Resolution.
Prior to starting his training contract for Kher Solicitors, Navjit worked for the firm on a voluntary basis whilst he was still completing his LPC. Navjit speaks fluent Punjabi and Hindi which enables him to converse freely with our South Asian clients and his hobbies outside of work include playing cricket, football and attending the gym.
Myles Reback – Solicitor
Myles has over 24 years of experience as a solicitor in private client work. This extends to preparing straightforward wills and also giving specialist tax planning for high net worth clients and more complex will drafting as a result .He advises clients on the use of trusts for asset protection and tax planning.
A lasting power of attorney is often required in addition to a will in order to ensure that an individual’s affairs are protected in their lifetime due to illness or other incapacity to.
He can offer full support in the probate and administration process helping to guide the beneficiaries and bereaved family through the complex steps required to administer the estate and to negotiate with The Revenue on Inheritance Tax. He often has to negotiate on behalf of an estate with the Revenue to resolve any outstanding issues.
Jane Southall – Employment Law Specialist
Jane has considerable experience advising clients on the full range of employment matters. Her legal career spans back to the Citizens Advice bureau in Keighley and the Northern Complaint Aid Found in Bradford from 1998. From 2001, she worked for Peninsula Business Services at their Head Office in Manchester as a Managing Director and Employment Law Specialist for over 12 years. Over the last 16 years, she has amassed considerable experience advising clients on the full range of employment matters, regularly appearing at Employment Tribunals throughout the United Kingdom and advising clients on HR and Employment Tribunal matters, particularly discrimination claims, whistle blowing and redundancies and transfers of undertakings.
She also has significant experience advising on complex disciplinary and grievance matters, negotiating and drafting contracts of employment and handling large commercial contractors. Her experience has led her to deal with both contentious and complex TUPE matters. These include a transfer or takeover of businesses, outsourcing and service provision changes. She also advises on the drafting of restrictive covenants, employee representation and trade union issues. She is an accomplished litigator and a robust employment law adviser.

Frankie Jaffier – Employment Law Specialist
Frankie has a wealth of employment law experience advising clients on a wide range of workplace issues and, when required, representing them at the Employment Tribunals.
His legal career began in 2002 at Peninsula Business Services where he trained, on the job, as an Employment Law Specialist, whilst undertaking private academic study. From 2006 to 2013 he worked for Bibby Consulting and Support Ltd/Citation plc, advising and representing clients across a broad range of industry sectors including retail, consultancy, manufacturing, security, healthcare and professional services.
Frankie is well-versed in advising on discrimination matters, redundancy, unfair dismissal, wages disputes, equal pay, transfer of undertaking regulations and breach of contracts and has regularly appeared at the Employment Tribunal, nationwide.
With strong communication skills and a thorough, practical knowledge of employment law, Frankie has a proven track record in delivering an excellent client-focused service and prides himself on his ability to break-down complex legal issues in a comprehensible way, whilst minimising the emotive aspects which often emerge during the process.
